New publication from Vidya Limaye

We're pleased to announce a new publication from SHM Canada's president and founder Vidyadhar Limaye, PhD, PEng. His article "Bridge Disasters: What we do and do not learn from them" appears in ICI Journal, which is published quarterly by the Indian Concrete Institute.

Vidya's article discusses the root causes of bridge collapse and describes practical strategies for management of civil infrastructure assets. These strategies include development of bridge inspection programs, establishment of training standards for inspectors, and deployment of structural health monitoring for asset management. The article also offers an engaging overview of the history of bridge construction in India.
